Somebody FINALLY gets the kickassedness that is the Duke Nukem theme, I applaud you whole-heartedly sir.
As for the rest of it...... simply brilliant. It saddens me to think that I may never hear anything as good as this again. This will definitely be going into my archive of music.
My hats off to you good sir.
thanks alot. nice to get peoples hats off.
I have to agree with knotwrite below and say that this song is just perfect. The intro wasn't dragged out at all. Heck, when the first explosion of sound came at 1:30, you sent a wave of adrenaline through me, and again at 1:55. This song is absolutely thrilling.
I'll definitely be looking for more from you in the future.
Thank you so much!
This is great.
It's very well done. But there's a few things that bothered me. The instrument you used for the snare/drum/thing (not sure what it is) just seemed out of place to me. Secondly, though this is more to personal preference than any mistake on your part, but I think that this song was too slow, not a high enough tempo, but again, that's just my personal preference.
Other than that, you did an excellent job, I'll still give you full score, especially you decided to remix one of my most favorite songs of all time. I can never seem to find many great remixes for this song, but yours has definitely made that list.
My hat's off to you.
good I guess...
But it certainly lacked something. Personally, you're instrument choice was great, but it sounded to repetitive, kinda like this sentence. You could have seriously varied the pitches or.... something, anything. Its just the main guitar that you used from the very beginning to the end was..... plain.
This was good nonetheless, so I'll give you that, but it had so much potential. =/
I suggest reading Firerocker's review above...he summed it up pretty well: Metroid music is, at its heart, rather repetitive. But it's repetitive with some excellent beats, which is what makes it epic. :P
I do agree, I could've put more variation in this tune. You'll notice some strings come in on the second loop...that was my effort at variation.
But, at my heart, I remaster songs, not remix them. That means I keep the original tune intact. Loopiness and all. XD
As for the guitar...yeah, I could've refined it more. I apologize for that. I think this was as good as the current software I had at the time could go, you see.
Thanks for the review; it was very constructive! :3
It makes me think of a fight scene between a complete psycho and some random person. Just as the song begins, the psycho like.... "snaps" and goes all freaky on the guy.
Very awesome, its inspirational.
You never cease to amaze me. I swear, you blow my mind with every song you make, so much that I fear I could be suffering severe and fatal brain damage.
Anyways, this song is just beautiful, and almost poetic. And I love the beach ambiance in the background, its very soothing.
Well done on another great song. It makes me wonder, that since all your work is this good, it would be almost frightening to hear your "masterpiece" when you make it. ~lol~
Just absolutely beautiful. I love how it tells a story, and I can feel the sadness. You have a real talent with music, its harmonic. Anyways, I look forward to your work.
My hats to you.
Very well done.
You can easily picture the sadness in this piece, as well as many of your other pieces. You are definitely talented. It seems that each piece you work on shows emotion. I love how each one tells a story. It inspires me to create my own, and I love it.
Anyways, I know this may be a bit late (more like a year late) but Welcome back! It really saddened me when I found out that you had left a year ago. I really loved your music, and I was surprised when I found you had come back. You and your music are my inspiration. I look forward to your upcoming pieces and the stories they will tell.
PS: You'll get nothing but 5's out of me ;)
hello hasonish! I am glad these pieces have been able to inspire you! They are with this intention that I make them, alongside the hope they will entertain you, and take you away to another place if only for another minute!
I appreciate the warm sentiments, even if they are a year late, I hope to stick around for much longer this time.
As for the stories, I used to be a big writer, and was nearly finished my second novel, however I decided to one day to try and tell a story through music, and I was hooked ever since. Every single one of these pieces originate from an image, a story, a raw feeling. Anything else sounds empty to me.
I am grateful for your support, thank you for the review, the support. I am glad you liked this piece alongside the others!
Cheery tune ^^
Unfortunately, Im running out of things to say and put in these reviews... All of your music is so dam good. Your getting nothing but 5's on all of them from me.
Very good indeed.
This was definitely well done. You can easily picture a peaceful scene of a waterfall "and a rainbow flowing out of it."(eh, its corny, but I like it)
And to Yettan. That single phrase " 'Memory' from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats..."
drives me insane. I'm sorry, but I heard that WAY too much in the movie "Jersey Girl" Anyways....
